We birded along Yanallpa Creek, the narrowest and smallest creek that we traversed during our Amazon journey, the morning of Thursday, January 19, 2012. Brad photographed a Black-and-white Antbird, Myrmochanes hemileucus, a small antbird with jet black upperparts and snow white underparts, that was perched in some river island foliage. Two white wing bars and a long slender bill are present. Temperatures were in the mid-70's with clear skies and high humidity.
