Brad photographed a Chestnut-throated Seedeater, Sporophila telasco, that was perched at the edge of a marshy area in the Refugio de Vida Silvestre-Pantanos de Villa Marshes the morning of Friday, January 13, 2012. Our final destination for the day was to be the fishing village of Pucusana which is located 60 km south of Lima in southern Lima Province. The male has a chestnut-colored throat, gray upperparts with dark streaks and a white rump. Wings are blackish with white wingbars and a white speculum. Underparts are whitish. Temperatures were in the low 80's with partly cloudy skies and high humidity.
