The morning of Saturday, January 14, 2012, we flew from Lima to Iquitos, Peru, where we boarded a bus that took us to a boat launch along the Itaya River. I took this photo of the transportation provided by Al Frio y Al Fuego (Fire and Ice) Restaurant to take us to its floating restaurant. Iquitos, the fifth largest city in Peru and the largest city in the Peruvian rainforest, can be seen on the horizon. Temperatures were in the low 70's on this windy afternoon with "pouring" rain.
