We birded along Yanallpa Creek, the narrowest and smallest creek that we traversed during our Amazon journey, the morning of Thursday, January 19, 2012. When the birding got slow, I took this photo of one of the myriad of orchid species that grew on river islands that abutted the creek. Temperatures were in the low 80's with clear skies and high humidity.
