The morning of Tuesday, January 17, 2012, we birded along the Ucayali River and along Supay Creek, which is located below the city of Requena. This Greater Ani, Crotophaga major, flew over our skiff. Its large size, pale iris, and casqued bill are features that aid in IDing the species. Temperatures were in the low 70's with overcast skies and high humidity.
