We were up and birding early on the morning of Monday, January 16, 2012, along Yarapa Creek, a tributary of the Amazon (South Bank). The Long-billed Woodcreeper, Nasica longirostris, was one of the birds that we saw. This distinctive Amazonian woodcreeper has a very long horn-colored bill, rufous upperparts, white chin and throat, and white streaking on its head, nape and breast. Temperatures were in the upper 70's with hazy skies and high humidity.
