We birded down river from the city of Requena along Supay Creek the morning of Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Brad photographed a Masked Tityra, Tityra semifasciata, as it flew over our skiff. The male has a black mask, white plumage, black wings, and a gray tail crossed by a broad black band. The ocular area and base of the black tipped bill are red. Temperatures were in the upper 70's with overcast skies and high humidity.
