Brad photographed a Ruddy Turnstone, Arenaria interpres, near some waterfront homes that were built on the rocky coast near Pucusana while we were on a pseudo-pelagic birding trip the afternoon of Friday, January 13, 2012. Pucusana is a fishing village that is located 60 Kilometers south of Lima on the western coast of Peru bordering the Pacific Ocean. Temperatures were in the mid-80's with bright, sunny skies and high humidity.
