The morning of Tuesday, January 17, 2012, we birded along the Ucayali River and along Supay Creek, which is located down river from the city of Requena. A White-winged Parakeet, Brotogeris versicolurus, was perched in a river-edge forest. Plumage is a bright emerald green with yellow wing coverts and white inner remiges. The moderately long tail is graduated in shape. Temperatures were in the low 70's with overcast skies and high humidity.
