During the afternoon of January 7, 2012, Brad and I walked around San Isidro (Lima) to see what was in the area near our hotel. We visited this small shrine in El Olivar Grove Park with its water feature and an enclosure protecting a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The park was declared a National Monument in 1959 to protect the centuries-old olive trees that grow there. Temperatures were in the upper 80's on this overcast, humid afternoon.
