We birded the area around our hotel, the Inkaterra Hotel Machu Picchu Pueblo (in Aguas Caliente), the morning of Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Brad photographed a Longwings (Nymphalidae, subfamily Heliconiinae), Heliconius telesiphe, as it fed on a flowering plant in the garden area of the hotel. Temperatures were in the 70's on this overcast morning with intermittent rain.
