After a leisurely breakfast at our hotel, the Sonesta Hotel El Olivar located in the municipality of San Isidro (Lima, Peru), Joanne and I headed across the street to bird El Olivar Park. I took this picture of a Croaking Ground-Dove, Columbina cruziana, as it perched overhead. The yellowish-orange colored bill has a black tip, and legs and feet are red. A chestnut colored bar can be seen on the scapulars. Note the dark wing spots. Temperatures were in the low 80's on this hot and humid morning.
