We spent the afternoon of January 10, 2012, visiting the ruins at Machu Picchu. This photo shows Joanne and Brad standing on a hill overlooking the ruins. The mountain, Huayna Picchu is shown on the right with Una Picchu to its left. Machu Picchu overlooks the Urubamba Valley and sits at an elevation of 7,790 feet above sea level. As the afternoon wore on, skies cleared, and temperatures rose into the low 70's with increasing humidity.
