After lunch at the Café Inkaterra at Machu Picchu on January 10, 2012, we entered the site. I photographed some of the nearby mountains that were surrounded by low lying clouds. The brown at the base of the center mountain, the Inca's Sacred Mountain of Putukusi, is the Vilcanota River. Aguas Caliente is at the base of this mountain. Temperatures on this overcast afternoon were in the upper 60's.
