We spent the afternoon of January 10, 2012, touring Machu Picchu. I took this photo looking back at the stone path we were climbing along the eastern side of the site. The stone work or masonry of the path and surrounding structures and the construction of the nearby terraces are all indicative of the site and the mastery of the Incan stone masons. As the afternoon wore on, skies cleared, and temperatures rose into the low 70's with increasing humidity.
