We left Yucay by bus early in the morning on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, for the train station in Ollantaytambo. This is an important halfway station between Cuzco and Machu Picchu. Here we caught the Hiram Bingham Train for a 1.5 hour ride that took us through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to Aguas Calientes. Brad took this photo of a map that was to our right as we rode on the left hand side of the first car. It shows our journey from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu Pueblo (formerly known as Aguas Caliente) in the Province of Urubamba. The final part of the trip to Machu Picchu was made by bus. Temperatures outside were in the 60's on this overcast morning with intermittent rain.
