During mid-afternoon on January 7, 2012, Brad and I took a city tour of Lima. The Plaza San Martin is probably one of the most representative places within the city of Lima. It is located in the historic center of Lima and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. Peru's liberator, José de San Martín, sits astride his horse and is the main focal point of the square. This photo shows several buildings located along one of the streets radiating from the plaza. Temperatures were in the upper 80's on this overcast, humid afternoon.
