We arrived at our hotel, the Sonesta Posadas del Inca Sacred Valley, Yucay, (Urubamba) Peru, late in the afternoon on January 8, 2012. The hotel is nestled in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas and is sited on a former 18th century colonial style monastery. I photographed the church on the property before dinner in the lovely dining area that was located in a building opposite it. Temperatures were in the 70's with overcast skies when we arrived but cooled into the low 60's later in the evening.
