The Sonesta Hotel El Olivar, pictured here, was our base for the time we spent in the Lima, Peru area. It is located in the municipalidad de San Isidro in a quiet residential neighborhood. Bosque el Olivar, Olive Grove Wood, lies across the street from the hotel. This park was declared a National Monument in 1959 and attracts visitors and locals to its peaceful surroundings. It is also a great place to bird and add local species to your Peruvian birdlist.
