We flew from Cuzco to Lima the morning of Thursday, January 12, 2012. After a leisurely lunch at our hotel, the Sonesta Hotel El Olivar located in the municipality of San Isidro (Lima, Peru), Joanne and I headed across the street to bird El Olivar Park. I photographed a Southern Beardless-Tyrannulet, Camptostoma obsoletum, as it perched high above us. The head is a dark brown or gray color and has an erectile crest. A pale supercilium is present. Upperparts are grayish, two wingbars (whitish, yellowish or cinnamon) are present, and underparts are grayish to yellowish. Temperatures were in the 80's on this hot and humid day.
