Brad and I spent January 9, 2012, birding around our hotel, the Sonesta Posadas del Inca Sacred Valley, Yucay, (Urubamba) Peru. Brad photographed a White-bellied Hummingbird, Amazilia chionogaster, as it fed in one the hotel's garden areas. Upperparts are green, underparts are white with light green spotting along the sides of the breast. The basal half of the inner webs of the rectrices are white. Temperatures were in mid-70's on this lovely morning with partly cloudy skies.
