This is a photograph of one of the megaliths in the Ring o'Brodgar. The Ring of Brodgar is the finest known truly circular late Neolithic or early Bronze Age stone ring and belongs to a distinct class of monument known as a henge. It is enclosed by a massive ditch and has two entrance causeways. It is located on mainland Orkney. This area was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1999. Temperatures were in the mid-60's on this partly cloudy to sunny morning.
