This photograph was taken from the deck of the Aleksey Maryshev as we cruised around the archipelago of St. Kilda after Zodiac landing and hiking on the main island of Hirta. The St. Kilda archipelago consists of five islands. Their names are Hirta, Soay, Boreray, Dun and Levenish (there are also two large rocks or sea stacks close to Boreray called Stac an Armin and Stac Lee). We spent our cruising time looking for bird colonies. Temperatures were in the mid-60's on this partly cloudy to sunny afternoon.
