This is a photograph of our ship, the Aleksey Maryshev, anchored off the island of St. Kilda with a cleit in the foreground. This volcanic archipelago lies forty-one miles west of the Outer Hebrides and is the remotest part of the British Isles. It was a partly cloudy day with temperatures in the 60's.
