This is a photograph of Soay Sheep and the cleitean found on the Island of St. Kilda, a Natural and Cultural World Heritage Site. This volcanic archipelago lies forty-one miles west of the Outer Hebrides and is the remotest part of the British Isles. The over 1,400 stone-built cleitean were used for storing food and fuel and are scattered all over the islands of the archipelago. It was a partly cloudy day with temperatures in the 60's.
