Brad photographed this Atlantic Puffin while we were birding near the bow of the National Geographic Explorer. We were heading to Hornsund (near the southern end of Spitsbergen) for an afternoon zodiac landing. This was the only time that we saw this species during the trip. Temperatures were in the 40's with partly cloudy skies.
