The morning of August 3, 2010, found us near Russebukta (southwestern side of Edgeøya) looking for a possible landing site. Fog and Polar Bears prevented any landings. After lunch, we were able to make a Zodiac landing in one of the fjord arms in Freemansundet, a wide bay between the islands of Edgeøya and Barentsøya, at Isbjornodden. This is a photo of our guide, Magnus (armed). Temperatures were in the 40's with clear weather and partly cloudy skies.
