This is a photograph of some of the mountainous scenery and glaciers that we saw as we sailed west out of Longyearbyen along the Isfjorden during our first night aboard the National Geographic Explorer. The low, hanging clouds over the mountain tops made the scenery even more spectacular. Temperatures were in the 40's with partly cloudy skies.
