Early in the afternoon on August 2, 2010, we made a Zodiac landing in one of the Burgerbukta fjord areas (Gnålodden). This is a photograph of our ship, the National Geographic Explorer anchored offshore. The rocks in the foreground make the ship look as though it were sitting on the shore. We spent several hours ashore looking at the flora and fauna. Temperatures were in the lower 40's with partly cloudy skies.
