Before our Lindblad city tour of Oslo, Brad and I walked around the grounds of the Royal Palace and Gardens, Akershus Castle, and the National Theater. We were walking along Karl Johans Gate when Brad took this photograph of the Grand Hotel. A group of people had gathered in a small green area across the street to listen to a local band. The hotel was opened in 1874 and annually hosts the Nobel Peace Prize banquet. Prize winners stay in the Nobel suite at the hotel. Temperatures were in the low 70's with partly cloudy skies.
