Polar Ship Fram

The Fram is the world's strongest wooden ship ever built. Constructed in 1892, the FRAM travelled the furthest north (Arctic) and the furthest south (Antarctic) of any wooden ship and is still intact. The history of Norwegian polar explorers is displayed in the museum. Open to the public in its original condition with interior and objects perfectly preserved, the FRAM provides a look into what life was like aboard a ship sailing in the polar regions.
