Fog and low hanging clouds greeted us as we sailed south along the western coast of Spitsbergen (in the open north Atlantic) heading for the southernmost fjord system known as Hornsund. Here, Zodiac landings were planned for later in the morning. This photograph shows one of the many glaciers that we saw shrouded by the low hanging clouds. Temperatures were in the lower 40's with cloudy skies.
