We decided to bird in San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge during the early afternoon of April 21, 2010. We stopped at Bobcat Woods and spent a delightful hour there birding. Brad and I were the only people there. The woods were literally crawling with birds, and it was "so nice" to listen to all of the different bird calls from Blue-winged Warblers to Veeries. Temperatures were in the mid- to high 70's on this partly cloudy, windy afternoon. This Hermit Thrush was perched in the vegetation near a large marshy area.
