Just down the road from Quintana Neotropical Bird Sanctuary (UTC121 on the Texas Birding Trail) is another good migration birding location, Xeriscape Park. We birded here during the early evening of April 21. This photograph of the back of a Swainson's Thrush was taken as the bird was walking on the ground near one of the park's water features. Temperatures were in the mid- to high 70's on this partly cloudy, windy evening.
