We birded in Rock Creek Park early in the afternoon of May 15, 2010, during a trip to Washington, D.C. This male Magnolia Warbler was creeping through the vegetation below the walkway behind the Nature Center. The photograph shows a top view of the bird. Rock Creek Park is administered by the U.S. National Park Service and is a good D.C. birding location. It was a partly cloudy afternoon with temperatures in the low 70's.
