The afternoon of May 7, 2009, was partly cloudy with temperatures in the 70's. We had spent a busy day birding and had stopped near Llanos de Planduviar to look for woodpeckers before heading to our hotel in Lecina. This Egyptian Vulture was one of several on the ground affording us good looks at the species.
