The Aquamarina moved upriver after lunch on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, and relocated to a point about thirty minutes above the city of Reuqena. We didn't go out birding until late in the afternoon because of heavy rain. Once out, we explored Fosec Creek and ended the day with a long boat ride along a river island to look for Red-bellied Macaws. After successfully finding a colony of Red-bellied Macaws at their Moriche Palm grove roosting site, we headed back to our ship. Along the way, I turned around and took this photograph of Fosec Creek as we departed the area. Temperatures were in the upper 70's with a sunset covered by clouds.
