We spent the morning of Monday, January 16, 2012, birding along Yarapa Creek, a tributary of the Amazon (South Bank). Brad photographed a Plumbeous Kite (Ictinia plumbea) as it flew high over our skiff. The rufous bases to this adult's primaries and its banded tail can be seen in the photo. Temperatures were in the low 80's on this humid morning with hazy skies and high humidity.
