After lunch and a siesta on Thursday, January 19, 2012, Brad and I opted to go out for more birding with Steve, our VENT guide, and a local guide along with 6 others from the group. The rest of the group either went on a fishing trip or visited a native community. We were headed back to our ship, the Aquamarina, for dinner when I photographed this group of indigenous inhabitants of San Jose. They may have been waiting for a water taxi. The sign behind them proclaims that the town drinks "pure" water. Temperatures were in the mid-80's with partly cloudy skies and high humidity.
