After a long day of birding on Sunday, January 15, 2012, along Yapara Creek, a tributary of the Amazon River located below the main confluence of the Ucayali-Marañón Rivers, we headed back to our ship, the Aquamarina. Along the way I photographed this wonderful sunset over the Amazon. Temperatures were cooling off into the 70's as the sun set.
