This photograph of California Condor number 4 was taken near the Bright Angel Trailhead in the Grand Canyon in Arizona. This California Condor was sunning itself and remained in place on a rock ledge for approximately ten minutes. Once the Condor flew, we lost sight of it as it flew to the other side of the canyon. It was a sunny, calm afternoon with temperatures in the low to mid-50's.
